Dew with Dirt

Dew with Dirt

A foggy, damp morning and we rode.  Exploring the paths and trails of a nearby park reserve offered an infrequent opportunity to catch up with a good friend, talk politics, work, family, and other stuff that consumes our lives these days.

Thanks to Dan’s patience, I’m slowly learning more about biking and enjoying every minute.  Biking has been given me “thinking time” over the past three years.  Time that helps clear my mind, lets my mind wander, and gives me a sense of freedom that I find in very few places today.

Today’s ride took us off-road and got some good dirt on the Dew Deluxe.  Highlights included a decision by Dan to take the “path less traveled” that ended in the wrong spot, and some ingenious tire fixing when I got a flat.

Lessons learned today:

  1. Always check equipment before heading out
  2. Off-Road riding is pretty fun.

The journey continues and Dirt will stay on the Dew for a while.  It looks good!
